Meet Hailey Madison Sebastian

Theatre Artist

Hailey Madison Sebastian (she/they/siya) is a Boston-based, Filipino-American theatre artist & arts administrator. She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, earning her Bachelors of Music in Professional Music, with concentrations in Drama, Musical Theatre Writing, & Musical Theatre Performance (she REALLY likes theatre). She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Arts & Cultural Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Commercial Theatre Development at Boston University.

Before making her way to New England, Hailey Madison grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland, and she never saw herself on TV. Both in the literal sense (her parents never let her audition for Nickelodeon or Disney, no matter how hard she pleaded), and also because she noticed the lack of diversity in media and theatre early on in her childhood. From then on, Hailey Madison made it a point to have a Filipino lead everything she’s writing. Now in her twenties, Hailey Madison is still creating theatre where BIPOCs & LGBTQ+ characters take center stage, whether she is the star or writing their stories.

Outside of production, Hailey Madison loves consuming teen-girl-centric plays and YA novels. She can often be found trying various Asian bakeries and restaurants in and around Boston, taking photos in random photo booths, rewatching Parks & Recreation for the umpteenth time, or playing on her Nintendo Switch.

Hailey Madison thinks meaningful connections are imperative to any lifestyle — whether you’re an artist or not — and if you’re reading this and think she’s cool, DM her at @haileymadisonsebastian on Instagram, or send her an email at the link below. She will probably respond.
